Taking a GLP-1 medication while taking steps toward maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle can help you achieve your target weight. This is a compounded medication which includes B12 which helps with nutritional support as you lose weight.
How to Take: Injection Instructions
Prepare the Injection Site: Choose an area of your body for the injection, such as the abdominal fat, upper arm, or outer thigh (never give an injection in the inner thigh area as this risks puncturing the femoral artery). Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab to reduce the risk of infection.
Administer the Injection: Use a subcutaneous injection technique by pinching a fold of skin and inserting the needle at a 45-degree angle. Slowly inject the solution according to your prescribed dosage: Inject 25 units (0.25mg) subcutaneously once weekly
Post-Injection Care: If you experience slight redness or discomfort at the injection site, apply a cool compress to reduce irritation. Rotate injection sites with each dose to avoid irritation or scar tissue buildup.

Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) Supports red blood cell production, DNA synthesis, and nerve function. Helps prevent fatigue and boosts energy—especially helpful during periods of dieting or increased physical activity. Generally well tolerated. Mild side effects may include nausea, dizziness, or headache.
B12 RISKS/BENEFITS: (BENEFITS) Vitamin B12, or Methylcobalamin, is essential for energy production, neurological health, and red blood cell formation. It supports mood and cognitive function, helping you stay focused and mentally clear throughout your weight management journey. By maintaining adequate B12 levels, you can also help prevent nausea that can result from B12 deficiency. Though B12 doesn't directly counteract nausea from GLP-1 medications, it can reduce fatigue and support proper digestion, potentially minimizing discomfort.
(RISKS) Do NOT take Vitamin B-12 if you or anyone in your family history has ever been diagnosed with Leber's Disease or Leber's Optic Neuropathy. Taking B-12 in this situation can cause permanent blindness. If this applies to you, do NOT take this medication. Instead, consult an eye specialist to determine what next steps to take.
Remember, the goal is not to reach the highest dose—but to find the dose that best suppresses appetite and cravings.
When to Contact Your Healthcare Provider Call your doctor if you experience: Severe abdominal pain (possible pancreatitis) Signs of gallstones (sudden stomach or back pain, nausea, yellowing skin/eyes) Severe allergic reaction (swelling, rash, trouble breathing) Persistent vomiting, dehydration, or inability to keep fluids down Call 911 or go to the emergency room if you feel like you are experiencing a medical emergency.
Please note that compounded medicines are not approved by the FDA because they have not been subjected to the extensive safety, effectiveness, and manufacturing review required for approved medicines. The FDA nonetheless preserves safe access to compounded medicines to meet important patient needs; they are prescribed when a physician judges that the compounded formulation is better tailored to the needs of an individual patient than an approved medicine.
