Sleep Resources
Sleep is an important part of physical and mental health. Chronic insomnia can respond to structured behavioral treatment—not just sleep tips or medications.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)
CBT-I is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps people change sleep-related behaviors and thinking patterns that maintain insomnia. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs offers a self-guided educational resource.
Sleep is a skill you can work on
Like the CBT Playbook, CBT-I emphasizes practicing strategies consistently. If you have loud snoring, witnessed pauses in breathing, severe daytime sleepiness, or another possible sleep disorder, seek a medical evaluation rather than assuming insomnia is the only cause.
